Much misunderstanding, confusion (and even frustration) can be avoided when we understand that when the Bible uses the word 'Healing', God is addressing SPIRITUAL wholeness ' SPIRITUAL healing PRIMARILY. Especially when healing is mentioned in the New Testament Bible (Other than in the four gospels where Jesus healed).

Even when we try to understand and obediently obey James 5:14-16 ' God is talking about SPIRITUAL healing primarily when needed (which can also include prayer against demonic attacks [i.e., depression, oppression, fear, worry, anxiety, fear, hopelessness, compulsive sinning ... as some common demonic attacks]). Yes, secondarily, He's also addressing physical healing in James 5:14-16 ' but when Christians think of James 5:14-16 as EXCLUSIVELY physical healing ' that is when many people being prayed for feel let down if they don't receive physical healing.

When we seek to understand Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:21-26, we must also understand that God is addressing what the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross accomplished for those who will receive it: It is what makes them "OKAY!" with God -- "OKAY!" to receive free pardon for all their sins which qualifies them FREE OF CHARGE entry into heaven forever upon passing from this life to the next. Stating it a little differently: SPIRITUAL HEALING - SPIRITUAL WHOLENESS with God regarding our sins against Him and others is what these two Bible passages are addressing. Anyone beating "the PHYSCIAL healing drum" using these two portions of scripture at the exclusion of addressing SPIRITUAL wholeness (Eternal Salvation) with God primarily are not correctly understanding nor rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
