Since the beginning of this outreach in 1996, all donations have gone toward helping cover ministry expenses, and no salaries have been paid.  Thus we truly appreciate every donation given to this ministry, and want people to know that no gift is too small nor insignificant.

We've always sought to downplay our need for finances in this outreach, simply because we've not wanted to be accused of doing what we do for money.  Because some people feel we should be more open about our financial situation, I'm now stepping a little out of my "comfort zone," and will explain a few things.  Roughly 80% of the numbers you see above come from our own personal giving to the ministry.  The roughly 20% remainder comes in from outside giving -- donations from other people.  We receive no tax benefits or personal benefits from our own personal giving to the ministry.  We do not have enough yearly income to file long form on our personal taxes, so we couldn't receive any tax rebates (benefits) if we desired to.

Currently, Kathleen and I primarily live off my Social Security income that I started receiving in the fall of 2005, and it is out of this source of income that we help keep the ministry going.  Kathleen will not be eligible for Social Security yet for several years, though she should be eligible for a small monthly pension check in about five years.  I was "Shock-N-Awed" in 2003 by an unforseen attack on my retirement savings, so that won't be an option for us financially from here on out.

Kathleen does some work at home on behalf of our local church, which helps a little, but that is a relatively small amount of money, though we're thankful to have it.  She's also been trying to pick up some extra income from Tape Transcribing, but that has been slow in gaining much momentum.

Ten-percent (10%) of all Precious Testimony ministry funds goes toward helping put wells into impoverished areas around the world, so people can have a source of clean drinking water.  Many people do not have clean - sanitary water to drink.  We see from God's Word that helping the poor is HIGH on God's agenda, thus we don't want to be so focused on the financial needs of Precious Testimonies that we neglect people who don't even have available to them a safe water supply to drink from.

We receive many requests for financial assistance from time to time, especially from third-world country ministries, and rather than having to take the time to answer each of them about our financial situation, we're hoping this expanded explanation of our financial status will help many of those saints realize our inability to do much more than what we are already doing to help win souls to Jesus Christ through Precious Testimonies.

We purpose to be a ministry of utmost integrity and honesty, being transparent and totally above board at all times with the precious love offerings God blesses this ministry with to operate on.  Feel free to email us with any questions you may have.  Our email address is:  ptoffice@precious-testimonies.com
