An elderly lady wrote to us recently and had this say, and weíre publishing our answer to her it as it might help someone else:

Hello Precious Testimonies. God brought me to my knees years ago and whispered to my heart to go to the Pastor immediately for help. I did not obey. That would have been at that time my opportunity to receive Jesus. God gave me strong faith to do this and I kept turning away. How awful, I don't know where to begin.  I just read your article on the Precious Testimonies website and it was so right. Back then the Holy Spirit was moving in a powerful way to draw me to Jesus. I have gone 20 years since then and am lost. A Pastor once said if you don't receive Jesus at the highest point of the Spirit drawing you near to answer and obey then you can't be drawn back to that point again. It's very scary. Does God harden your heart forever? Did He take the faith away? Trying to read scripture again, it is very difficult. Would like to hear your response. Missed out on so much, I believe God would have done. Loss of having a husband, children, family, Also it was critical for me to show God's love to other family members who are now deceased. So much loss. Again, would like to hear your response.

Dear Deborah:  Thank you for reaching out to us with your questions and concerns about your salvation. My thoughts are and Iím sure my husband would agree, it is NOT too late for you to come to Jesus! That pastor you heard say that is absolutely wrong!  As long as you have a repentant heart and come to Jesus Christ wholeheartedly asking Him to forgive you of not coming to Him when He first called you, He will forgive you and welcome you with WIDE OPEN arms. It is NEVER too late to repent (have a change of heart and go the other way)!

Itís true there are consequences we do suffer if we continue sinning in our own way in life, but our God is a loving and forgiving God. There is nothing you have done that He wonít forgive! I donít know how old you are now but it doesnít mean God wonít still bring you a husband if that is still your heartís cry. I would encourage you though if you pray for a husband ending your prayer with ďLord, your will be done in my lifeĒ but let Him know how you feel.

I believe too that the reason youíre having a hard time reading scripture is because youíve believed a lie all these years the enemy fed you through that pastor (not your fault of course). The enemy of your soul (Satan) is the one causing all that doubt and confusion. If you want to pray and ask Jesus Christ to come into your life and be your Lord and Savior, you can do it, and He will take you back!

I feel led to lead you in a prayer and I trust the Holy Spirit to help you do what you need to do.

Father, in Jesus Christís mighty name I come to you asking you to forgive me of all my sins Ė past, present and future. I ask you to forgive me for not answering your call years ago, but ask you to be my Lord and Savior now and forever. I thank you for loving me enough to take my place on the cross and shed your blood for me. I thank you now that I have freedom and peace in you which according to your Word passes all understanding. Take me now Lord Jesus; I am yours. Do what you will with me for the rest of my life. In Jesusí name I pray, amen.

Sister, if you prayed that prayer and meant it sincerely in your heart, welcome to the family of God! You are now what the Bible calls ďBorn AgainĒ and no one can ever snatch you back as long as you are faithful in your heart to Him. God looks at our heart Ė and if you have a heart to please Him, thatís all that matters.

Thank you for allowing me to share this with you. I will continue to pray for you! We encourage you to get in a good Bible believing/preaching church where you can continue to grow spiritually in your faith and have that personal relationship Jesus wants so much to have with you. The best way to do that is by having a local church to attend and having Christian friends who can love and support you, reading your Bible daily to learn how God wants you to live (itís like your roadmap in this life) and praying to Him daily too. God wants all his children talking with Him every day, and He will talk back to us if we learn to listen for His voice. God bless you sister as you begin to seek Him with your whole heart!

Declare His Glory...Psalm 96:3

Jesus Did It!

Dear Reader - are you at peace with God?  If not, you can be.  Do you know what awaits you when you die?  You can have the assurance from God that heaven will be your home, if you would like to be certain.  Either Jesus Christ died for your sins, or He didn't (He did!).  Are you prepared to stand before God on the Judgment Day and tell Him that you didn't need the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross to have your sins forgiven and get in right-standing with God?  We plead with you...please don't make such a tragic mistake.

To get to know God, to be at peace with God, to have your sins forgiven, to make certain heaven will be your home for eternity, to make certain that you are in right-standing with God right now ... please click here to help you understand the importance of being reconciled to God.  What you do about being reconciled to God will determine where you will spend eternity, precious one.  Your decision to be reconciled to God is the most important decision you'll ever make in this life, because in Christ, it is impossible to put a value on the worth of your soul in light of eternity.

Remember:  All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to bless and glorify God (which is TRULY OPPORTUNITY!) - making Him FIRST in our life daily if we're wise. The money and assets we accumulate, the fame and power we've attained or seek to attain - all of the things of this nature will one day pass away, but those lives of others we impact for Jesus Christ will last for ETERNITY, and we will be rewarded for the part we helped play by impacting those lives ... for ETERNITY.  (Matthew 6:19-20 is our assurance.)
